The Little Garden Cafe

September 9, 2008

Okay I’m a year late..I know.  But I just discovered the cutest coffee shop in one of the cutest areas I have seen.  It’s called The Little Garden Cafe and it is right across from Audubon Park (in Spokane).

So I usually don’t hang out in this area.  In fact I don’t remember the last time I was ever in this area.  I actually only discovered this coffee shop on accident (when I got lost going to Audubon Elementary).  After my day of subbing, I went straight to this cute little place.

Let me do say that it looks a lot like a Rocket Bakery (minus the negative energy and rude customer service).  The employees there are not pretentious but super nice and the coffee was actually good!

Also, the neighborhood is super cute!  The best way I can describe it is a “not-so-snotty version of the South Hill.”  I am assuming since both Audubon Elementary and Holmes Elementary are Title I schools that this area is super affordable.  They also have bike lanes!  I think if I was ever going to stay, or buy a house, in Spokane, this is where I would want to live.  So cute.

I just wish I didn’t give up coffee today (thank goodness for tea…decaffeinated tea).

You know that is the neighborhood where I grew up and where I spent two years of my HS life right?! It is very cute, I agree.

Nope..didn’t know that. I know that a lot of teachers live there starting out, and I think I only saw the place you spent your two years at once and it was dark.

don’t worry I will give you a tour of where I lived from age 0-3. It will be the most exciting day of your life. Yes I am sure it was dark.
